@@hellf.o it depense of the cartridge. If it has micro sd card put in it with usb micro sd adaptor, if it has a micro usb port then use it for’place the rom etc… you have to buy a cartridge for doing that like ems64, on catskull electronics or somewhere else, if you search gameboy cartridge on google you will find a lot. If the cartridge doesn’t have micro sd or usb connection then you will have to buy something for connect the cartridge to pc, there is adaptors but I don’t remember the name…

@@alexandreterroni1221 yes I unvolontary break it during circuit bending. So after that I reorganized my circuit bending in a completely different way to use the only sound which could be now done and have fun with it

Thank's ! I'm proud to be part of your Cygoblin playlist 🤩 (and I added this name to the video title) The glitch contacts are at the same solder points than the left potentiometer if I good remember. Normally pitch can't be triggered with contacts in many keyboards (again, if I good remember), but in this one it works and glitches ! Yea ! I did that for keep a "musical" configuration with just sometimes add some small glitches with contacts, good for playing in rehearsal studio !

In fact there is not a lot of bends on it but his low pitch made really crazy good effects ! Many things are just pitch related like : choose a pitch for press button only for change it quickly while playing. And a lot of press buttons are also from an other toy inside which is just pitch and toy’s buttons

@@MazHoot That's really cool!! Really clever. I'm gonna have to open mine back up and poke around on the inside. I use mine through a Monotron. It makes an impressive "dirty" synth.

It’s not a cartridge it’s a homebrew I made. I just put it in the ds’s sd card because today it’s possible to do that. But it works also with micro sd cartridges

Thank you ! Before my bend I watched your video (very cool !) and it helped me to find the speed resistor but I didn't find separrate one for lead and drum, I used one pot for speed up and an other for speed down. . Maybe I will try to find this the next time I open it :)

Hello, it was a while ago, but there is some configuration you can do for it start automatically piggy when raspberry pi start. If I remember good it worked better with raspbian (or raspberry pi os) than with retropie. I'm sorry to don't remember better than that, actually my raspberry pi isn't configured like that anymore, it is a more standard way with raspberry pi os and I can start lgpt with a mouse or over ssh from my ipad (there is an other video more recently which show how to control it with ipad). And for me midi coming from gamecube you will need a gameboy player on gamecube, an arduinoboy for send midi and a usb midi interface (could be any midi interface) for send midi to piggy EDIT : ok i'm stupid after watching the video I remember that I used actually retropie LOL, I meaned that for start automatically piggy, rb os or raspbian is better and it's true but in fact in the video I start it from retropie (so not automatically) which is cool too. For that these is a file to edit, It is maybe emulationStation.sh or something like that, and add your programs (or lgpt/piggy) there, and it appears in the options menu in retropie EDIT2: sorry again after watching again, I remember that LSDJ was configured in midi map, so it doesn't send midi it receive midi from LGPT

Merci ludo, ce que tu vois à l'écran du gameboy ça vient juste du logiciel "shitwave" au début que j'utilise et ensuite "droneboy". Ceux là ce n'est pas moi qui les ai créés, ils sont téléchargeables facilement sur internet (gratuits) et on peut les utiliser très facilement via un émulateur de gameboy. Ce que j'ai ajouté là c'est une prise mini jack pour un controle CV pitch (en plus du potentiomètre de pitch) c'est à dire qu'on peut contrôler le pitch global de la gameboy via un séquencer externe (le machin noir avec les lumières rouges ici) ce qui entraîne des variations de notes avec n'importe quel logiciel ou jeux utilisé. Ça marcherai aussi avec une cartouche standard comme donkey kong par exemple :-) Mais c'est plus musical avec des logiciel de drone comme shitwave ou droneboy

Ce qui me surprend, c'est avec quelle facilité tu arrives à créer et maitriser du son avec tout ce matériel @@MazHoot Mais merci pour l'explication, même si je ne comprend pas tout les termes techniques.

Thank's ! I didn't have plan when I opened it, it was just circuit bending exploring for discover possibilities. If I have time some day I will maybe open it and take a photo and share :-) But exploring is a big part of the fun ! (at least for me). Don't forget to not circuit bend things that are pluged directly on the wall. Only on battery for safety and not more than 9 battery. Volca beats is an easy one to bend. You don't need to touch the second board with the tiny components. I did that only on the first pcb/board which has big solder points.

@@Footbags you need a very thin solder iron, not too hot, a third hand and crocodile clips ( and knob switch etc of course). AND find old toys! New ones are often impossible to bend because the components are too tiny. Often toys must be something like older than 1995

Yea it’s fun but without tape loops it don’t goes somewhere 🤣. For pulse width modulation I don’t know probably not because I use only cv out from sq 1, it works too with gate out (different). I searched where was the pitch like in circuit bending and then soldering. I used a really small jack for fit inside (and it was very hard to fit…)

Of course! Haha. Every circuit bending toy can do things with cv, but sadly i am a toy killer when circuit bending. So i don’t do it much.

With a Y jack, when sync mode is activated, all sounds goes to left pan so it becomes mono, and there is a sync sound sended in right channel of the Y jack which is pluged to sync in devices. It works good with korg machines. For other machines, the signal is often not enought low (but it works if it's increased with a mixer). Zhootpad is outdated, root drum machine is a more up to date version which have sync too.

I’m not sure to understand your question, but i use these homebrew i made for experimenting music, play drums or didgeridoo in same time while root drum machine do things alone, and I didn’t done it yet for now but I plan to use it in my compositions which you can listen on my bandcamp. I don’t do much live, i did but I don’t like playing alone on stage and i live in a small town where all musicians play only pop guitar, voice, rap or metal so…. Sample : wav and .mod files

Thank's, it's really more about testing than measuring. I measured nothing because I'm bad with that and I prefer exploring, but with measuring I think it should be better. For the pink board, you have to buy these specific pegs. Sadly, I don't remember their names but you can search it with these words : "cymballum pegs, santour pegs etc..." I knew the indian santour was made with sort of a triangle with loud strings longueur et high smaller so that's what I did and this is important for the sound. It's better to have it on the both sides of the pvc electrical sheath because you can play 2 strings at a time, which is something important on the indian santour. And yea, a pvc electrical sheath in the middle. For the rest it's tuning by ear, I don't have a stable tuning I change it as what sound I want to have. For the skate part, I drilled big holes with the biggest drill bit. I used metal bit, with wood bit it didn't work at all, the skate was too hard. And I just puted electric guitar pegs on it. The skate was the first one and at this moment I didn't know about the specific cymballum pegs, if I knew it before I probably bought these instead of electric guitar pegs because it's really less expensive. String for both instruments are electric guitar strings. The guitar pegs are not good fixed on the skate the hole is big but it stay in place because of the tension of the strings
